Getting started for students

1. Create your account

Open onboarding, choose Student, and confirm your display name and timezone so your account starts in the right place.

2. Build your practice list

Add pieces, scales, exercises, and technique work on the Practice items page. This gives your sessions and assignments something to attach to.

3. Connect to your teacher

Ask your teacher for their invite code, then enter it on the Connect page while signed in as a student.

4. Log sessions regularly

Use Log session after practice to record what you worked on, how long you practiced, what improved, and what still needs attention.

5. Review progress

Check the dashboard and History page to see recent sessions, active assignments, streaks, and item-level trends.

Getting started for teachers

1. Create your account

Open onboarding, choose Teacher, and Maestro Planner will send you to the teaching workspace and billing-aware student tools.

2. Generate an invite code

Open Students and generate a one-time invite code. Share it with your student so they can connect from their own account.

3. Confirm the student link

Once the student redeems the code, they appear in your student list and on the dashboard.

4. Create assignments

Open Assignments, choose a linked student, set the title/focus, and attach active practice items for the week.

5. Review between lessons

Use the dashboard and student review pages to see recent sessions, weak spots, item notes, and assignment follow-through before the next lesson.

FAQ

How do I change my email or sign-in method?

Open Account to review linked sign-in methods, add password login, or connect Google / Apple when available. Maestro Planner is intentionally conservative about account linking for safety.

I am a student. Where do I enter my teacher invite code?

Open the Connect page from the student navigation and enter the eight-character teacher invite code there.

Why do assignments require existing practice items?

Assignments attach to the student’s active practice items so follow-through can be tracked against actual pieces, scales, and exercises already in the student workspace.

Where can I get help if something looks wrong?

Use the support email on this page or in the app footer. Include what page you were on, what you expected, and what happened instead.
